Among our metalworking services, welding is one of the services that Metal Solutions offers.

Metal Solutions is a go-to place for high-quality services and products in many industries. We provide custom welding services from design to production on various material types. Metal Solutions offers expert welding in Houston with a wide variety of welding services available for existing metal pieces as well as innovative product designs and metal assemblies.

  • Our fully qualified welders are equipped with all the tools and technology necessary, including the latest robotic welding technology and hand welding processes, to make precise cutting and welding according to the highest industry standards.
  • Unlike other manufacturers that simply take your plans and turn them into a product, our skilled staff is involved in every step of the manufacturing process. With an emphasis on consistent quality, we have produced millions of parts for customers in many industries, ranging from small manufacturers to some of the world’s biggest companies.

What Material Do We Weld?

Metal Solutions has taken part in a wide range of project types. Having years of experience in welding, we can do our work on different material classifications. Our welding services can be served on the following materials:
  • Stainless Steel
  • Duplex-Stainless
  • Cast Steel
  • Carbon Steel
  • Monel
  • Inconel
  • Aluminum
  • Titanium
  • Copper (TIG Braze)

Prior to performing any production work, all of our welders are ASME Certified in accordance with AET's strict quality standards. Our staff Certified Welding Inspector witnesses all welder certification tests

Our Welding Technology

Metal Solutions's welding procedures can serve a wide range of requirements, including:

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)

Manual gas tungsten arc welding usually employs either a normal gas nozzle or a gas lens, which is a circular nozzle incorporating a gas distributor.

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) is an arc welding process in which the source of heat is an arc formed between consumable metal electrode and the work piece with an externally supplied gaseous shield of gas either inert such as argon and /or helium

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) is a welding process in which coalescence of metals is produced by heat from an electric arc maintained between the tip of a consumable electrode and the surface of the base material in the joint being welded

Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)

Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), also known as dual shield welding, is a semi-automatic arc welding process that is similar to metal active gas (MAG) welding. FCAW uses a continuous wire-fed electrode, a constant-voltage welding power supply, and similar equipment to MAG welding.

Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)

Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) is a joining process that involves the formation of an electric arc between a continuously fed electrode and the workpiece to be welded. A blanket of powdered flux surrounds and covers the arc and, when molten, provides electrical conduction between the metal to be joined and the electrode. It also generates a protective gas shield and a slag, all of which protects the weld zone.

Torch Brazing and Soldering

Brazing and soldering torches apply a filler material (solder) between two surfaces to form a joint. They draw fuel from a gas cylinder to produce heat for melting the filler material. Brazing torches operate at higher temperatures and create stronger joints than soldering. Soldering torches operate at lower temperatures than brazing torches, so they're commonly used to join heat-sensitive materials.
